Parts of First & Fifth St in downtown Lewiston will be closed for construction from June 18 – December 2012. The project will be constructed in phases to maintain normal traffic flow as much as possible.

Starting Monday, June 18:

First Street

• D St to Capital St – Closed to thru traffic. Local traffic to businesses – Open
• Capital to Beachey St – Closed

Fifth Street

• One lane of Main St & D St – Open at all times (may be short closures for utility connections)
• Fifth St from Main to D St – Closed
• Center for Arts and History – Sidewalk to entrances open
• Towne Square parking lot – Open (except for occasional closures)
