Senior Nutrition

The Lewiston Parks and Recreation Senior Nutrition Program serves lunch Monday-Tuesday at Noon. Wednesdays are extra special with our famous buffet that starts serving at 11:30am. Be sure to plan your day around other activities and join us for lunch. Ages: 50+

 

 

Tai Chi – Session 5 (6 Weeks)

Tai Chi is a series of twenty gentle whole-body movements which assist the body, mind and emotion to
harmonize. Creativity is heightened as natural growth and healing processes are hastened through regular
practice. In each six-week session, ten Tai Chi movements will be learned. Many participants enjoy the group
practices and continue to attend this Tai Chi “group.” Pre-registration is required.

Come enjoy a day on the Palouse starting with the Dahmen Artisan Barn, 3 floors of artisan exhibits as well as free demonstrations. Lunch in Pullman as well as a stop at the WSU Creamery. Transportation and lunch. Pre-registration is required.  Meal on your own.

Historic Wallace Museum and Mine Tour

Explore Historic Wallace and get to tour the Sierra Silver Mine. We will do the driving and give you the chance to visit Historic Wallace, Idaho and do a mine tour before returning to Lewiston. So get your walking shoes ready and let’s get out and enjoy the history of Idaho. Pre-registration is required.  Meal on your own.

Joseph, OR and Wallowa Gondola Ride

Spend the day taking in the views from the gondola at Wallowa and the exploring the artist town of Joseph Oregon. We will enjoy the beautiful drive down Rattlesnake Grade take a trip up the gondola at Wallowa Lake; then drive into Joseph to explore the shops and bronze foundry that have found a home in the Wallowa Valley. We will leave at 8:00am. Pre-registration is required.  Lunch on your own.

Raspberry Festival

Love Raspberries? Come join us in attending the Raspberry Festival. We will travel to Cottonwood for Breakfast and then let you explore the Show and Shine, the Quilt show, crafts and museum tour. Pre-registration is required.  Lunch on your own.

Afternoon Cruise on Lake Couer d’Alene

We will drive to the Coeur d’Alene Resort to catch a 90-minute cruise around Lake Coeur d’Alene.  This will be an afternoon cruise to enjoy the Lake.  We will stop at the Coeur d’Alene Casino for Lunch and continue on to Coeur d’Alene to catch the cruise and then return to Lewiston that evening. Pre-registration is required.  Lunch on your own.

Wine & Cheese Train

This scenic train ride offers exceptional fall colors and provides a wonderful time to relax and unwind. Passengers taste a variety of wines from Copper Belt Winery, poured by the wine maker, and Umapine Creamery serves a sampling of their artisan cheese. Depart from Elgin at 3 p.m. for an early evening ride, when the scenery is captivating and wildlife comes out of the shadows. Bring a jacket in case the evening mountain air feels chilly. Returns to the depot by 7 p.m. Miles traveled = 38

Located in Deary, Idaho the Café has a charm all its own. They have sandwiches, pizza, soups & salads and lots of pastries. While you’re waiting for your food you can browse the shop for handmade cheeses, preserves, iron works and many more items. Pre-registration is required.  Meal on your own.
