If you have a project you believe may be eligible for CDBG funding and you would like to submit a proposal for consideration in the programming of funds next August , please be aware that the deadline is April 1st.  Action plans must undergo a 30-day public comment period prior to submission to HUD mid-June.  Therefore, activity/project proposals must be received no later than April 1st in order to allow time for staff to gather information and make decisions regarding which activities to present to Council and draft in the action plan.

Proposed new activities must be in conformity with the City's current
Consolidated Plan in order to be considered for inclusion in the annual action plan.

CDBG projects must meet one of the three national objectives of the program:

  • Benefit to low- and moderate income persons
  • Aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight
  • Meet a need having a particular urgency
