Flashing Yellow Arrow Signal Improvements

General Information:
The City applied for and was awarded a federal highway grant for safety improvements through the Local Highway Safety Improvement Program.  The award amount is $73,000 with 92.66% federal dollars and 7.34% City match.  The purpose of the program is to address locations of fatal and serious injury crashes.

The project awarded to the City will convert protected-permissive left turn signals to flashing yellow arrow signals at several signalized intersections.  The locations will be on Bryden Avenue and 10th St.; Bryden Avenue and 7th St.; Bryden Avenue and 5th St.; Preston Avenue and 5th St.; Thain Grade and Pride Rock; Thain Grade and Shopko; and Thain Grade and Nez Perce Drive.
