A business license is required when selling or delivering any goods, soliciting or offering services for sale or hire, or using any vehicle or premises in Lewiston for business purposes.

Each business location is considered to be a separate business.

If a business changes ownership or if the business moves to a new location, the business license is automatically void. A new license is required if either event takes place.

Most business licenses are issued for one year and are renewed annually.  Late fees of fifty percent (50%) of the license renewal fees are assessed forty-five (45) days after the license expiration date.
