The Engineering Division in the Public Works Department is responsible for managing all aspects of the City's right-of-way, which includes right-of-way work permits, sight obstructions, and inspection of curb, gutter, and sidewalk repairs, traffic control plans, and banners across Main Street.

Banners
The Public Works Department oversees the placement of banners in the City right-of-way. A banner policy was established providing clear and consistent guidelines for permitting, placement, and specifications for banners and flags being installed within public right-of-way.

City Code provides a process to vacate City right-of-way.  Please contact the Engineering Division in Public Works at 208-746-1316 or email for more information.  In addition, please review the right-of-way vacation application package.
