Garry Bush has been a resident of Lewiston since 1971 when he accepted a teaching position at Lewiston High School. Teaching Photography and U.S. History plus coaching five different Varsity sports, Garry retired after 30 successful years. Adjunct professor at LCSC in the Education Department and instructor for the Continuing Education broadened his teaching experience. Serving as a Board Member of Lewiston Parks and Recreation Commission, Habitat for Humanity, Lewiston Education Association, Modie Park Conservancy, Valley Racquet Club and the Lewiston Civic Theatre allowed for community involvement. His wife, Barbara Bush is the Executive Director of the Washington - Idaho Volunteer Center located at the Lewiston Community Center.
