The Lewiston Police Department has a fully equipped 13 member Tactical Team that is riot control trained.  This team has been in place since 1998 in the aftermath of the WSU riots.  We are a participating agency in a multi-jurisdictional civil disorder team approach.  Within three to four hours of notification we can place close to two hundred fully equipped officers between Lewiston, Idaho and Spokane, Washington.
