Adopt-A-Street Program

"Look at your street -

Other people do!"

Lewiston's Adopt-A-Street program started in 1995 encouraging volunteers to adopt a street in the city of Lewiston.  Street sponsors include families, groups of friends, civic groups, service clubs, public and private businesses, and schools.

Litter patrol is typically done at least four times a year and more as a groups desires.  The City supplies orange safety vests and garbage bags and will pick up filled litter bags left on the curbside after patrolling.

There are currently 40 active groups who participate in litter patrol at least four times a year.  Many street sections are available for adoption; so if you or your group would like to sign-up, we encourage you to apply!

"Thank you street sponsors" for working hard to keep Lewiston litter free!

We appreciate you!
