Prescription Drug Drop Off

The Lewiston Police Department accepts unused prescription drugs for disposal. A prescription drug turn in box is located in the lobby of the Police Department for use by the public. The purpose is to allow for the safe disposal of unused medications. Proper disposal keeps medications from contaminating our waterways (flushing them down the toilet) and more importantly out of the hands of our youth and others who might steal them from a loved one’s medicine cabinet.
