Investigations

The Investigations Section of the Lewiston Police Department investigates a variety of crimes against persons and property. The personnel assigned to the section work in various capacities and are responsible for following up self-initiated investigations, referrals from the Patrol Section, and referrals from outside agencies.

Quad City Drug Task Force

Detectives in our investigations division are also members of the Quad City Drug Task Force.

Mission

The mission of the Quad City Task Force is to operate an enhanced multi-jurisdictional task force to combat the trafficking of controlled substances in the quad city area:

  • Clarkston
  • Lewiston
  • Moscow
  • Pullman

The member agencies work together and share information in order to:

  • Identify people involved in controlled substance:
    • Consumption
    • Distribution
    • Manufacturing
    • Possession
    • Sale
  • Develop solid, prosecutable cases against them
  • Apprehend and convict them for their illegal conduct
