PUBLIC WORKS IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC
Public Works is closed to the public at our office located at 215 D Street; Suite B until further notice to ensure the safety of all parties.
If you need assistance, we are available by phone at 208-746-1316 or you can email us at publicworks@cityoflewiston.org.. If you need to drop something off, we have a secure drop box located to the north of our building - look for the sign! If the item you are dropping off cannot fit into the drop box, please call us and we will coordinate with you.

Solid Waste Services
The City of Lewiston manages an integrated solid waste management system consisting of diverse operations including waste collection, waste reuse, recycling and waste disposal.

Stormwater Services
The City continues to implement and develop activities for the NPDES Phase II Permit. The City is currently functioning under a draft NPDES Phase II Permit from the EPA while waiting for a permit to be issued by EPA.

Street Maintenance
The Street Maintenance Division in the Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the public street system, alleys, storm water drainage system, to clean paved road surfaces, and all traffic control devices (traffic and pedestrian signals, street signage, pavement markings). Street Maintenance monitors the conditions of streets to prioritize work performed to maximize cost-effectiveness and service to the public.

The Wastewater Services in the Public Works Department provides management control over the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Pretreatment Wastewater maintenance, and collection system.
