Responsibilities

The Engineering Division is responsible for:

• Design and construction management of all capital improvement projects
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) / City maps
• Implementation of the Sidewalk Master Plan (installing sidewalk in areas designated as primary pedestrian ways within the City)
• Infrastructure planning
• Phase II Stormwater Permit Process
• Planning for improvements to the stormwater sewers, sanitary sewers, street system, and water systems
• Review of new development plans as they relate to the City’s infrastructure
• Right-of-Way Management
• Subdivision Plats and Reviews
• Traffic studies
• Vacations of Plats, Public Rights-of-Way and Utility Easements
