John was born and raised in the LC Valley, spent a few years away finishing his Bachelor’s in Business Administration at Washington State University, and returned to raise his own family here in 2006.
Currently, he is the Executive Vice President of Location Economics for Emsi, an economic and labor market data company. His work primarily focuses on helping cities develop business attraction and retention strategies as well as work directly with companies to determine their optimal location to grow/expand into, through global site selection services.
John and his wife Tina, a labor and delivery nurse at St. Joe’s, have three children that keep them busy. John enjoys being a volunteer coach with the Boys and Girls Club and is an elder at his church.
