Public Health Emergency Order No. 21-03 was approved by the Lewiston City Council at its January 25, 2021, Regular City Council meeting and issued by the City Manager for implementation.
Specifically, this order requires:
- every person in the City of Lewiston, when in a public place, shall maintain at least six-foot physical distancing from non-household members, whenever possible. This physical distancing requirement shall apply to any and all expressive and associative activity that is protected by the Constitution of the United States or the Constitution of the State of Idaho, including speech, press, assembly, and religious activity; and
- every person in the City of Lewiston shall wear a Face Covering when in any indoor or outdoor Public Place where six (6)-foot physical distancing is not able to be maintained with non-Household Members, except as set forth herein. This requirement to wear a face-covering shall apply to any and all expressive and associative activity that is protected by the Constitution of the United States or the Constitution of the State of Idaho, including speech, press, assembly, and religious activity, except as set forth herein.
This order is for individuals, with the expectation that businesses will encourage and facilitate compliance.
